Cortisol
Cortisol is a hormone produced by the adrenal glands that helps regulate metabolism, blood pressure, and the body's response to stress. This test helps diagnose conditions like Cushing's syndrome, Addison's disease, and other adrenal gland disorders.
Adrenocorticotropic Hormone (ACTH)
ACTH is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland that stimulates the adrenal glands to produce cortisol. This test is used alongside cortisol testing to help diagnose adrenal and pituitary gland disorders, such as Cushing's syndrome or Addison's disease.
